Wisdom of the Trees Retreat
Retreat Invitation: “The Wisdom of Trees”
October 3-5, 2025 | Cedarbrake Renewal Center, Temple, TX
Cost: $365 (includes lodging, meals, and all programming)
Come away for a weekend of rest and renewal in the quiet beauty of north central Texas. Nestled among the trees at Cedarbrake Renewal Center, this intimate retreat is an invitation to reconnect—with your body, your spirit, your creativity, and a small circle of fellow pilgrims on the journey.
Theme: The Wisdom of Trees
In a world marked by uncertainty and overwhelm, we turn to the deep and grounded wisdom of trees. What does it look like to root ourselves in practices that sustain and nourish? How do we stretch upward without losing our balance? Together we’ll explore these questions through:
Guided meditation and prayer
Gentle movement and embodied presence
Creative practices and spiritual reflection
Shared meals and meaningful conversation
Time in nature, solitude, and silence
This retreat is designed to help you cultivate resilience, reconnect with the sacred in and around you, and experience the “unforced rhythms of grace.” You’ll leave more integrated, grounded, and attuned to living authentically in every season of life.
Hosts
Dustin Hite is a spiritual director, neighbor at Community First! Village, husband to a Swiftie, and father of two. With a background in Ignatian spirituality, Dustin brings over a decade of experience leading contemplative retreats focused on presence and peace.
Catherine Johnston is a pastor at Austin New Church, a graduate student in counseling, writer, nature-lover, and mom of three. She’s passionate about creating sacred spaces of creativity, play, connection, and contemplative practice.
