Need a soft place to land on Mother’s Day? Join us for a gentle, welcoming luncheon at Christi Matens’ home — created especially for those who find this day complicated, tender, or heavy.

All are welcome—men, women, nonbinary—whether you’re grieving, estranged, longing, or simply not feeling the Hallmark version of the day. We’ll make space for care, connection, conversation, or quiet presence—whatever you need.

Come as you are, you don’t have to carry it alone.

WHERE: Austin New Church - meet in the foyer to the right of the entrance. 

WHAT:

*Bring your supplies to start something new or continue a work in progress. 
*The room is available till 3pm, but feel free to come & go as needed.
*We will have conversation prompts each month based on one of the 12 chapters of Julia Cameron’s book. You can join in as your interest leads you.
*If you’re attending church in person, feel free to bring a sack lunch and hang out between worship and art, or go grab something and come back at any time.

Whether you're new to breathwork or have an established practice, this space is open to all who are seeking presence, peace, and deeper embodiment.
